Children's Harbor is a 501(c)(3) child welfare organization founded in 1996 in cooperation with the City of Pembroke Pines. William E. Mahoney, Jr. of Mahoney & Associates was the visionary who led a small group of committed individuals to bring Children's Harbor from a dream to a reality.

We provide residential services for foster children in a family-style setting, and community based services for the prevention and intervention of abuse and neglect. Read more

Residential Services

Our Residential Program is licensed to provide a home to 34 children who have been removed from their families due to abuse or neglect.

  • One home is dedicated to serving pregnant and parenting foster teens and their babies, and
  • Four homes care for larger sibling groups, enabling them to remain together while in state custody.

Family Strengthening Services

The goals of our Family Intervention Program are to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, increase parents' confidence and competence in their parenting abilities and help participants achieve success.  Read More
