About Us
Children's Harbor is a 501(c)(3) child welfare organization founded in 1996 in cooperation with the City of Pembroke Pines. William E. Mahoney, Jr. of Mahoney & Associates was the visionary who led a small group of committed individuals to bring Children’s Harbor from a dream to a reality. The Agency provides residential services for foster children in a family-style setting, and community based services for the prevention and intervention of abuse and neglect.

Residential Services
Our Residential Program is licensed to provide a home to 34 children who have been removed from their families due to abuse or neglect. One home is dedicated to serving pregnant and parenting foster teens and their babies, while four homes care for larger sibling groups, enabling them to remain together while in state custody.Read more
Family Strengthening Services
Our counselors provide intensive in-home services –counseling and case management – to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, increase parents’ confidence and competence in their parenting abilities, and help participants achieve success. Issues addressed include, but are not limited to, family conflict and stress; behavioral management problems; adolescent concerns; co-parenting; grief and loss; adjustment difficulties; and economic hardships.
