Rosy, age 18
Former Teen Mother in Children’s Harbor Residential Program
After living at Children’s Harbor for close to a year, Rose aged out of foster care. At age 18, with a one year old son and no high school diploma, Rose decided to move to Fort Meyers. While this may sound like a recipe for disaster, thanks to the support, nurturing, and guidance of her Children’s Harbor family, Rose beat the odds. Eagerly, she received her high school diploma, and now takes her placement test to attend Edison State College. Her drive to succeed has inspired the peers she left behind.
